Sid is a short, lyrical novel by Anita Feng, with art by Linda Davidson. In this work, the classic story of the life of Buddha is rewritten, weaving together a fantastical ancient tale and a contemporary "real-life" version. The women in Sid/Siddhartha's life take a prominent position of strength and insight, and interspersed throughout the narrative, the exploits of a rabbit and crow highlight the challenges faced by all sentient beings as we grow toward enlightened wisdom.
